Our Prophet Nabi Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) has said: "The seeking of Knowledge is compulsory upon every Muslim".
This injunction includes every male, female, able and disable.

Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind is a specialist non-profit Islamic institute for the Blind established in 1986.
We cater for all Visually Impaired persons wishing to learn and know about Islam.

Our Mission is to spread the Light of Islam to the Blind around the world.

We believe that every able and disabled person should have an equal opportunity to study Islam.

"Truly it is not the eyes that grow Blind but it is the hearts in the chests that grow Blind". (Chapter 22, Verse 46)

The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) said: "On the Day of Judgement, it will be said to the Man devoted to the Qur'ân, 'Go on reciting the Qur'ân and continue ascending the stories of Jannah (Paradise) and recite in the manner you had been reading in worldly life; your final abode will be where you reach at the time of the last Ayat of your recitation."

"Verily, we have revealed the Qur'ân and We will protect it". (Chapter 15, Verse 9)

"And who is better than that person who calls people to Allah and does good action and says I am of the Muslimeen." (Chapter 41, Verse 33)

"The superiority of a learned person (Aalim) over a worshipper is like my superiority over the lowest amongst you." (Tirmidhi)

"Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind". (Chapter 24, Verse. 46)

"Every person must benefit from Islam. Should the blind be living on mountain tops or staying at the seashore, they must be guided to the Noor & Light of Islam."
