All
Praise is due to Allah (SWT) the Lord of the Worlds and Peace
and Salutations be upon on our Beloved Prophet Nabi Muhammad (Peace
Be upon Him)
A few friends of Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind, Brother Ismail
Ahmed, Muhammad Chohan and our Princpal, (Moulana) Hassan AK Murchie
visited the Za’tari refugee camp in Jordan, this May 2014.
This is one of the biggest refugee camps in the world and it is
situated near the Jordan/Syrian Border where hundreds of refugees
arrive everyday to escape the war in Syria.
Among the refugees are woman, children and the disabled. Among
them also, there are people who are Blind. In a humble contribution
to ease their hardship, Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind has partnered
with the Al-Imdaad Foundation of South Africa to sponsor special
container homes to Blind refugees and their families.
Presently, most of them are living in tents. An upgrade to a
container home will definitely make their lives easier as these
homes have their own private bathroom and toilet facilities. The
cost to sponsor one of these homes will be R35 000 including furniture,
groceries and other essential items.
However, we have stipulated a clause. This home will be gifted
to that family which has a blind member. We are certain that this
condition will enhance the dignity and care for the blind living
in the camp.
May Allah bless us to witness the joy on the face of our Blind
brother and sister when they receive the keys to their new homes.
Your assistance to their Happiness by means of your financial
contribution to this project will be greatly rewarded by Allah
in this World and the Hereafter.
