1. It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas that Nabi (S.A.W) is reported to have said:

“Smear your eyes with “Ithmid” (Antimony). It clears the eye and grows the hair. And he claimed that Nabi (S.A.W) possessed a container from which he smeared his eyes every night thrice on one and thrice on the other.”

2. Sa’eed bin Zaid says, I heard the prophet of Allah (S.A.W) saying:

“The mushroom is from Mann (heavenly food) and its water is a cure for the eye.”
(Sahih ul-Bukhari)

3. Qutaiba informed us that Abban bin Othman narrated from his father: He said that Nabi (S.A.W) said:

the eye, he should wrap it with aloe”

4. Narrated by Zainab (R.A.): “There was an old woman who used to visit us.She used to treat the inflammation of the eye. She would always sit on a bed with long posts that belonged to us, and whenever Abdullah entered he used to cough or make a sound to alert her of his presence.

One day he entered into the room, and when she heard his voice, she adorned her Hijab. He came in and he sat down next to me, and when he slightly touched me, he felt the pin of an amulet. He asked me: What is this? I said I was treated for the inflammation of the eye with this amulet. He pulled it, cut it and threw it away. He said: The family of Abdullah are independent from Shirk. I heard Rasulullah (S.A.W.) saying, “Charms, amulets and bracelets are forms of Shirk.” I then said to Abdullah: One day a man glanced at me and my eye, which was closer to him, began tearing. And when the old woman treated my eye with the amulet, it stopped tearing. And when she stopped the treatment, it began tearing again, so Abdullah said, that is the effect of Shaytaan, if you obey him, he will leave you. And if you disobey him, he will poke your eye with his finger.

However, if you do as the Messenger of Allah did, and then it is better for you, and more likely to be cured. Sprinkle water in your eye and say ‘Oh Lord of Man, remove this difficulty, and heal me; you are the Healer, there is no Healing besides your Healing; Healing that cannot be overpowered”.

5. It is narrated by Abdullah bin Suhaib from his father, who narrates from his grandfather that Suhaib (R.A.) said: “I came to Nabi (S.A.W.), and he had bread and dates in front of Him.

Nabi (S.A.W.) said: Come closer and eat. I began eating the dates, and Nabi (S.A.W.) said, “Do you eat dates whilst your eye is inflamed?” He said, ‘Oh Messenger of Allah; I am chewing on the other side (which is not inflamed), So the Messenger of Allah smiled”. (Mustadrak-ul-Hakim)
