Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, we are now on the Doorstep of witnessing and experiencing the Holy month of Ramadan 1434. The gifts in this month include; Mercy, Forgiveness and Freedom from the Fire of Hell by Almighty Allah.

Alhumdu-lil-Allah, for the first time ever Blind Muslims around the world will have the opportunity to read a concise and user friendly English translation of the Glorious Qur’an during this Ramadan.

One of our aims has always been to publish an English translation of the Holy Qur’an in Braille. After perusing through many translations, we ultimately settled on the translation compiled by the Institute of Islamic Knowledge, United States of America.

Although a Braille translation of the Holy Qur’an compiled by Yusuf Ally existed previously, it contained numerous typographical errors and was not easily available.

At the beginning of 2012 we took on the challenge and achieved a new milestone, Alhumdu-lil-Allah by transcribing the Holy Qur’an consisting of 30 chapters using the new Unified English Braille Code.

We would like to take this opportunity once again in this Holy month of Ramadan to request you to generously contribute towards the printing of the above and help Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind spread the Light (Noor) of Islam to the blind around the world. Your Lillah and Zakaat contributions towards all our projects will be a means of “Sawaab-e-Jaariyah” (Perpetual Reward) in the Hereafter.
