Southern Afican Ulama Forum in Gaborone, Botswana
Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind attended the South African Ulama Forum (SAUF) that took place in Gaborone, Botswana between the 14 - 16th of September 2012. This is an Ulama Forum wherein challenges and opportunities pertaining to countries in the Southern African region are discussed. Our vice principal Moulana Zaahid Suleman facilitated a PowerPoint presentation on the teaching of the visually impaired. Great emphasis was placed on the necessity of networking in serving the blind of our respected countries. Much interest was shown by the delegates from all the countries in attending our Qur’anic Braille Workshops that are run over 5 days, enabling Ulama to teach the Blind to read the Qur’an. We thank all our supporters and donors for contributing towards the projects of Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind and we humbly request you to remember us in your Duas.
