Reviving the sunnah

Thursday the 10th of May 2012 was a very happy day at Madrassa An-Noor for the Blind. Our friend, Ashraf Dhoda brought a horse in a trailer all the way from a farm in Newcastle as a gift for our students.

The blind riding a horse alone and without being lead! To believe this you will have to see our Palestinian student Suaib, who is totally blind, make “Horsey” (name still to be confirmed) trot, canter and gallop. Alhamdulil-Allah, Horsey is a very tame and mild tempered gelding and he also allows our lesser skilled riders to ride on him, especially during the weekend.

May Allah (SWT) reward Ashraf in this world and in the Hereafter for bringing us joy. We hope our children learn to ride a horse as did the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his noble companions.
