| It gives us great pleasure to inform you that Madressa An-Noor for the Blind, as an affiliate member of the South African National Blind Council (SANBC), will be attending & exhibiting at the 5th Africa Blind Forum to be held in Accra, Ghana from the 2nd-8th July 2011. We will be promoting Arabic Braille Literacy. According to the United Nations, one fifth of the world’s population is illiterate. However, there exists among the illiterate a dream to read on their own. Rising to this challenge, Madrassa An-Noor has developed a world first ‘Arabic Braille Primer’, which teaches a learner in a step by step manner how to read & write. Together with the Arabic Braille Primer, a ‘Universal Braille Kit’ consisting of a slate, stylus, ruler, math set, abacus, cane, talking watch, mp3 & Braille paper has been assembled. These resources promote literacy and independence. Sponsor a complete kit for R300.00 and bring to light literacy. |
